Omic fold changes clustering with alignment : an example showcasing data-driven modelling

In this talk I am going to present a part of the work I carried out in course of my PhD with an aim of demonstrating the logic and intuition behind data-driven modelling. The context lies in the field of radiobiology, the ultimate goal being to develop a multiscale statistical approach that could assist medical decision-making in choosing the treatment by radiotherapy with the minimal potential side effects. I will take you through the process of choosing specific statistical tools in order to make sense out of given data. We are going to focus on defining and estimating the quantities of interest, and then performing joint clustering with alignment.
