Our main cycle of results describes what may be understood as a `noncommutative Hoffman-Rossi theorem' giving the existence of weak* continuous `noncommutative representing measures' for so-called $D$-characters. These results may also be viewed as `module' Hahn-Banach extension theorems for weak* continuous `characters' into possibly noninjective von Neumann algebras. In closing we introduce the notion of `noncommutative Jensen measures'\, and show that as in the classical case representing measures of logmodular algebras are Jensen measures. Le problème a attiré beaucoup d'attention\, d'abord sur l'espace $\mathbb R^n$\, puis sur des groupes de Lie ou sur des variétés riemanniennes. Je vais parler du contexte de ce sujet et de différences qu'on observe sur différents groupes. Dans le travail présenté\, nous nous avons occupés le plus de fonctions "oscillantes" de type $f(x)\exp(itx)$\, avec $f \in C_0(R)$. D. Müller et C. Thiele ont montré en 2007 que sur les groupes `ax+b' de dimension n\, la norme $L^1 \to L^1$ de ces opérateurs est bornée par $C(1+t)$ tandis que la norme $L^1 \to L^\infty$ et majorée par une constante. Cet ordre est essentiellement plus grand que dans $\mathbb R^n$. Nos résultats récents montrent que ces estimations sont optimales. In the context of classical heat semigroups on compact Riemannian manifolds\, the famous Bakry-Emery theorem provides a beautiful connection between the geometry of the underlying manifold and the LSI\, showing that a positive lower bound on the Ricci curvature implies an LSI for the heat semigroup. I will discuss an information-theoretic approach to obtain modified log-Sobolev inequalities based on non-positive non-commutative Ricci curvature lower bounds previously developed by Carlen and Maas. Using these tools\, we are able to find new examples of quantum Markov semigroups satisfying a completely bounded version of the modified LSI\, including heat semigroups on free quantum groups. By this principle\, certain infinite dimensional phenomena in Lipschitz-free spaces over general metric spaces may be reduced to the same phenomena in free spaces over their compact subsets. As easy consequences we derive several new and some known results. The main new results are : ℱ(X) is weakly sequentially complete for every superreflexive Banach space X\, and ℱ(M) has the Schur property and the approximation property for every scattered complete metric space M. As Thoma's classical theorem\, these results can be formulated in a probabilistic language and we find interesting new connections to random lattice paths and random walks on trees. Such semigroups are called semitopological semigroups. These type of objects occur naturally\, if onestudies weakly almost periodic compactification of a topological group. Now if we assume the following : (a) The topology of S is locally compact. (b) Abstract algebraically speaking\, S is a group (i.e. every element has an inverse). (c) The multiplication is separately continuous as above (no other assumption. This is the only assumption concerning the interaction of the topology with the group structure). Then it follows that S becomes a topological group i.e. : (a) The multiplication becomes jointly continuous. (b) The inverse is also continuous. This extremely beautiful fact was proven by R. Ellis in 1957 and is known in the literature as Ellis joint continuity theorem. In this talk\, we will prove a non-commutative version of this result. Upon briefly reviewing the notion of semitopological semigroup\, we will introduce ''compact semitopological quantum semigroup'' which were before introduced by M. Daws in 2014 as a tool to study almost periodicity of Hopf von Neumann algebras. Then we will give a necessary and sufficient condition on these objects\, so that they become a compact quantum group. As a corollary\, we will give a new proof of the Ellis joint continuity theorem as well. This is the joint work with Colin Mrozinski. This class of quantum groups can be though of as an intermediate step between compact and general locally compact quantum groups ; they are significantly more general than compact ones\, but still have tractable representation theory. Similarly to the compact case\, one can define "character-like" operators associated with suitable representations. I will discuss a result which states that coamenability of G is equivalent to a certain condition on spectra of these operators. If time permits\, I will also discuss how one can use theory of type I locally compact quantum groups to show that the quantum space underlying the Toeplitz algebra does not admit a quantum group structure (joint work with Piotr Sołtan). Is it true that the multiple operator integral T_f_n maps S_p_1 times .... times S_p_n to S_1\, \infty boundedly ?Here S_p is the Schatten non-commutative Lp-space and S_1\, \infty is the non-commutative weak L_1 space. In case n=1 the question boils down on whether the Schur multiplier with symbol (f_1(s\,t))_s\,t is bounded from S_1 to S_1\, \infty. We give a positive answer to a class of functions involving the function a(t) = sign(t) t^n. If n =1 we find a complete solution and the asnwer is affirmative. It admits an operator algebraic conterpart\, which interpolates between free products and tensor products. Both constructions preserve many properties of the underlying groups/algebras. Important examples of operator algebras that can be realized in terms of graph products are right-angled Hecke algebras\, special cases of mixed q-Gaussian algebras as well as several group C*-algebras. In this talk we will discuss so called Khintchine inequalities for general C*-algebraic graph products. These are inequalities which estimate the operator norm of a reduced operator of a given length with the norm of certain Haagerup tensor products of column and row Hilbert spaces. Inequalities of this kind turn out to be very useful. We will demonstrate this in the case of (right-angled) Hecke C*-algebras\, by investigating their ideal structures. This notion was used by both Lance and Yeadon to obtain analogues of the individual ergodic theorems for von Neumann algebras. Like in the classical case\, the standard tool for proving almost uniform convergence is to control a maximal function. Here\, we shall introduce a new type of limit maximal function that recovers the $\limsup$ of a sequence in the commutative case. We will do this by introducing an ad hoc tensor product of $L^p$ and $\ell^\infty/c_0$. As a consequence\, we obtain a generalization of a result of Jessen\, Marcinkiewicz and Zygmund on strong maximals. We also obtain an improvement on the best know class over the free group algebra for which the Markovian semigroup generated by the group length converges almost uniformly. Lastly\, we study the maximal inequality in two variables and prove an $\varepsilon$-perturbation of the conjecture optimal weak Orlicz type by improving techniques originally developed by Cuculescu. En géométrie métrique\, nous nous intéressons à des propriétés stables par certains types de plongement (Lipschitz\, uniforme\, grossier\, etc). Nous recherchons souvent ces invariants sous la forme d’inégalités de concentration pour des fonctions Lipschitziennes à valeurs dans un espace de Banach. En effet\, dans un papier fondamental dans cette théorie\, Kalton définit un invariant grossier sous la forme d'un phénomène de concentration pour les fonctions Lipschitziennes définies sur une famille particulière de graphes métriques. Il s'agit de la propriété (Q) et des graphes entrelacés de Kalton. Dans cet exposé\, nous mettrons en évidence un invariant grossier assez proche mais différent de celui de la propriété (Q). Il consiste dans le fait de ne pas contenir grossièrement la famille des graphes de Kalton sans pour autant vérifier l'inégalité de concentration mentionnée ci-dessus. Ce travail est basé sur une compréhension plus profonde de la géométrie des graphes entrelacés et de la structure asymptotique de certains espaces de Banach. Nous terminerons l’exposé par l’étude d’une propriété plus faible consistant aussi en un phénomène de concentration des graphes entrelacés. Here $G$ is an adapted process\, $W_H$ is a cylindrical Brownian motion and $K$ is allowed be singular. In this talk I will introduce Calder\'on—Zygmund theory for such singular stochastic integrals with operator-valued kernel $K$. I will first discuss $L^p$-extrapolation under a H\"ormander condition on the kernel. Afterwards I will treat sparse domination and sharp weighted bounds under a Dini condition on the kernel\, leading to a stochastic analog of the solution to the $A_2$-conjecture. The developed theory implies $p$-independence and weighted bounds for stochastic maximal $L^p$-regularity both in the complex and real interpolation scale. But there is still no an axiomatic definition of 'function algebras' on noncommutative $C^\infty$-manifolds or\, more generally\, $C^\infty$-spaces. One of main requirement to a candidate for the title is stability under $C^\infty$ -functional calculus for several commuting self-adjoint elements. We exhibit conditions that guarantee existence of a $C^\infty$-functional calculus on the joint spectrum of a commuting tuple of self-adjoint elements on a $C^*$-spectral Arens-Michael $*$-algebra and compare them to the Kissin-Shulman differential norm condition. We also discuss how to construct an enveloping functor that maps algebras of polynomials to algebras of $C^\infty$-functions and that is compatible with Pontryagin duality for abelian real Lie groups. The more distant goal is to extend Pontryagin duality from abelian Lie groups to all Lie groups. The authors gave several notations of boundedness for operators like strongly Kreiss bounded\, uniformly Kreiss bounded and Kreiss bounded operators. It is known that any power bounded operator is absolutely Cesaro bounded and strongly Kreiss bounded (in particular\, uniformly Kreiss bounded). The converses do not hold in general. Moreover\, they obtained also a characterization of power boundeded operators which generalizes a results in [2]. Aleman and Suciu in [3] asked if every uniformly Kreiss bounded operator $T$ on a Banach space satisfies that $\lim |T^n/n|=0$. The authors in [1] solve this question for operators on Hilbert spaces. In addition\, they proved that\, if $T$ is absolutely Cesaro bounded on a Banach (Hilbert) space\, then $|T^n|=o(n)$. As a consequence\, every absolutely Cesaro bounded operator on a reflexive Banach space is mean ergodic. In the second part of my talk I will answer the question : ”Are the Tadmor-Ritt operators mean ergodic ?” for simple cases for operators. This pseudodifferential calculus allows study of complicated operators to be (mostly) encapsulated by studying their symbols. Ornstein-Uhlenbeck (OU) operators are analogs of the Laplacian adapted to spaces with Gaussian measure\, and arise in many areas including stochastic analysis\, quantum field theory and harmonic analysis. They are particularly nasty if tackled analytically and directly\, with very rigid structures (for example\, the standard OU operator has only H^\infty calculus on L^p\, the proof of which takes over 100 pages in full detail !). From one of these origins\, the OU operator arises naturally as a "function" of position- and momentum-like operators\, which suggests that the ideas of Weyl calculi may be applicable. After explaining these and other important concepts\, I will explain my current work in adapting the Weyl pseudodifferential calculus to the OU setting. This is of a very different flavour to the standard Weyl pseudodifferential calculus\, with interesting links to complex analysis and Banach algebras. At present\, it seems that using the Weyl calculus splits the problem of studying OU operators into an algebraic part and an analytic part\, the analytic part being almost trivial when compared to the analysis used for studying OU directly. Further\, we characterise the boundedness of its commutators in terms of the eigenvalues. Grotendieck's theory of topological tensor products immediately yields a Schwartz kernel theorem for linear operators on compact quantum groups and allows us to introduce a natural class of pseudo-differential operators on compact quantum groups. Further\, we show that composition of two regular pseudo-differential operators is a regular pseudo-differential operator. As a by-product\, we develop elements of the distribution theory and corresponding Fourier analysis. We give applications of our construction to obtain sufficient conditions for Lp - Lq boundedness of coinvariant linear operators. We provide necessary and sufficient conditions for algebraic differential calculi on Hopf subalgebras of compact quantum groups to extend to the proposed smooth structure. We check explicitly that these conditions hold true on the quantum SUq(2) for both its 3-dimensional and 4-dimensional calculi. Joint work with Michael Ruzhansky and Shahn Majid. In the linear case\, the extrapolation theory is well understood. However\, in the multilinear case\, the extrapolation was only known for product $A_p$ weights. The multilinear $A_\vec P$ weight\, which was introduced in 2009\, no extrapolation theory was known before. In this talk\, I will give a full solution to this problem. In [1] Muraki has shown how to classify such products and in particular obtained that only -five universal products exist. But there are examples which do not -fit into Muraki's framework\, for instance if one wants to deal with a tuple of linear functionals $\varphi^(i)$ on the algebra $A$ like it has been done in the case of $c$-freeness by Bo\.zejko and Speicher in [2]. The case of bi-freeness by Voiculescu [3]\, where in particular the underlying algebra $A$ is isomorphic to the free product of two algebras $A^(1)$ and $A^(2)$\, is also not covered by Muraki's classi-cation. In [4] Schürmann and Manzel present a uni-fied approach to cumulants\, which includes the above concepts of independence. Recently Cipriani\, Franz and Kula studied a special class of such semigroups associated to compact quantum groups. In this talk I will discuss how their results extend to the framework of locally compact quantum groups\, where two new important technical features appear : there is no natural `algebraic' domain for the generator and one needs to work with weights\, as opposed to finite states (using the appropriate Dirichlet form result provided by Goldstein and Lindsay). I will also present some applications of Dirichlet forms to the study of geometric properties of quantum groups. This is based on the joint work with A.Viselter. The proofs are not stated completely and the theorems are not given in their full generality. This was fulfilled by J. Lamperti who provided new proofs for a more general theorem ; besides being set in arbitrary ($\sigma$-finite) measure spaces\, Lamperti's result accepts values $p<1$. Later\, Parrot and Strichartz\, independently\, extended Lamperti's result to convolution $L^p$-algebras. They showed that if $G$ and $H$ are compact topological groups and if $T:L^p(G)\to L^p(H)$\, $1\leq p<\infty\,\ p\neq 2$\, is an isometric algebra isomorphism then there is an isomorphisms of topological groups $\phi:G\to H$\, a continuous character $\gamma:G\to(0\,+\infty)$ and a constant $c$ such that $$Tf(y)=c\gamma\circ\phi^-1(y) f\circ\phi^-1(y)\, \ \ \ (y\in H).$$ In this talk\, we give a description of isometric algebra isomorphisms between weighted $L^p$-algebras on locally compact groups. I will review some connections which these objects are known to have with free probability\, and I will show in particular how the so-called "semi-meandric polynomials" can be retrieved from a natural consideration of operators on the $q$-Fock space.
